Our Services
Rehabilitation, delivered differently
At RehabX, rehabilitation is never one-size-fits-all.
Every person who comes to RehabX receives a comprehensive initial assessment followed by a personalised, multidisciplinary treatment plan. The services below are not offered in isolation. They are coordinated by your treating team, delivered in sequence where appropriate, and reviewed regularly against your goals.
Whether you are recovering from injury, managing a neurological condition, living with disability, or working to regain confidence after surgery, illness or long-term pain, our team takes the time to understand the whole picture, not just the presenting symptom.
-

Physiotherapy
#fhtogglels/Learn more/Close/ib
We provide evidence-based physiotherapy to restore movement, improve strength, reduce pain and support recovery across neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and complex rehabilitation needs.
Our physiotherapists look beyond isolated symptoms to understand the whole-body patterns that may be contributing to pain, weakness, mobility challenges or loss of function.
-

Neurological rehabilitation
#fhtogglels/Learn more/Close/ib
We specialise in rehabilitation for people living with stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, functional neurological disorder, ataxia and other neurological conditions.
Programs may include gait retraining, balance work, strength and endurance training, functional movement practice, robotics-assisted therapy, cognitive-motor activities and ongoing progress reviews.
-

Musculoskeletal and pain rehabilitation
#fhtogglels/Learn more/Close/ib
We help people recover from chronic pain, orthopaedic injuries, fractures, surgery, workplace and sporting injuries, and complex trauma, with personalised programs that rebuild strength, mobility and independence.
Our approach focuses on identifying the underlying contributors to pain and dysfunction, then rebuilding strength, stability and confidence through tailored treatment and progressive exercise.
-

Occupational Therapy
#fhtogglels/Learn more/Close/ib
Our practical support helps people participate more safely and independently in everyday life.
Occupational therapy may assist with upper limb function, hand therapy, daily living skills, home and community access, equipment recommendations, fatigue management, cognitive strategies and functional independence.
-

Exercise Physiology
#fhtogglels/Learn more/Close/ib
Our tailored exercise programs are designed to improve strength, stamina, mobility, balance and long-term health.
Exercise physiology is particularly valuable for people managing chronic conditions, neurological conditions, disability, deconditioning, pain or reduced confidence with movement.
-

Speech Therapy
#fhtogglels/Learn more/Close/ib
Speech therapy provides specialised support for communication, swallowing, voice, and cognitive-communication challenges, helping people improve function, confidence, and participation in everyday life.
Speech therapy may form part of a broader rehabilitation program for people recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions or other complex health challenges.
-

Dietetics
#fhtogglels/Learn more/Close/ib
Our personalised nutrition support is designed to optimise energy, recovery, strength and overall wellbeing throughout the rehabilitation journey.
Dietetics can be particularly valuable for people managing neurological conditions, swallowing difficulties, fatigue, weight changes, chronic health conditions, muscle loss, or those seeking to maximise their rehabilitation outcomes through evidence-based nutrition strategies.
-

Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy
#fhtogglels/Learn more/Close/ib
We provide specialised support for breathing, cough strength, airway clearance, endurance and respiratory function.
For many clients, rehabilitation is not only about walking, movement or strength. It may also involve improving breathing mechanics, posture, chest function and fatigue management so the body can work more effectively as a whole.
-

Remedial Massage
#fhtogglels/Learn more/Close/ib
Our hands-on remedial massage therapy helps reduce muscle tension, ease pain, support circulation and complement broader rehabilitation goals.
Massage may be used alongside physiotherapy, exercise and movement-based therapy as part of an integrated care plan.
-

Podiatry
#fhtogglels/Learn more/Close/ib
Our podiatry services focus on improving foot health, mobility, balance and lower limb function to support greater comfort and independence.
Podiatry can be particularly valuable for people living with neurological conditions, diabetes, disability, mobility challenges, chronic pain, gait abnormalities, or those requiring specialist foot and lower limb care as part of their rehabilitation journey.
-

Rehab gym
#fhtogglels/Learn more/Close/ib
Our specialist rehab gym provides a safe, supportive environment for guided exercise and ongoing rehabilitation. This is not a conventional gym. It is a clinical rehabilitation space for RehabX clients who have been assessed, prescribed an appropriate program and shown how to complete their exercises safely.
Clients may use the rehab gym as part of their therapy plan, between appointments, or as part of a structured reconditioning or maintenance program.
-

Telehealth and ongoing support
#fhtogglels/Learn more/Close/ib
For clients travelling from outside Brisbane, or those needing continued support after intensive face-to-face therapy, RehabX can provide telehealth check-ins where appropriate.
This allows our team to review progress, update exercises, answer questions and help clients stay on track beyond the clinic.
Your rehabilitation journey
Every person who comes to RehabX follows a structured, personalised journey from first contact through to discharge and beyond. Here is what you can expect.
-
1. Intake and referral
Your journey begins with an enquiry, referral or booking form. Our team will review your information and contact you to arrange the most appropriate next step.
-
2. Initial assessment
Where possible, your initial consultation will be face-to-face. This allows our team to complete a detailed hands-on assessment. We spend time understanding not just your diagnosis but the whole picture - your body, movement, history, function, support needs and goals.
For clients travelling from outside Brisbane, we may begin with a phone or telehealth conversation to gather background information before your in-clinic assessment.
-
3. Personalised treatment plan
After assessment, we develop a written rehabilitation plan tailored to your needs.
This may include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, speech therapy, cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, massage, robotics-assisted therapy, rehab gym sessions or a combination of supports.
-
4. Integrated therapy
Your plan is delivered by a multidisciplinary team working together under one roof. This means your care is connected, coordinated and built around your goals.
-
5. Review, progress and support
Most rehabilitation programs are designed around an initial 12-week pathway, although every journey is different.
Your progress is reviewed regularly, and your program is adjusted as your strength, confidence, function and independence improve. Some clients may continue with maintenance, telehealth support or periodic reviews depending on their needs.
Your Potential Is Greater Than Your Diagnosis
RehabX was created to close the gap between what research shows is possible and what people can access in everyday care.
Here, advanced technology is guided by clinical expertise, evidence is applied with compassion, and every rehabilitation plan is built around one belief: progress is always possible.
